We were looking around for short breaks in 2022, the sorts of places that we could drive to on a Friday after finishing work and head back from on Monday, perhaps taking advantage of bank holidays, and the last of those we managed in the year was in August when we spent a weekend based in Oxford. We knew museums would feature but we also enjoyed the botanic gardens and plenty of pubs, and we drove a little further afield to check out a National Trust property too.
