Three years after our first weekend visit to Iceland we took another one, this time opting for a hotel in the country’s capital for convenience, and booking ourselves onto two trips that also left plenty of opportunity to explore Reykjavík by ourselves. A tour of the southern coastline brought us to waterfalls and glaciers and basalt formations in the surf, while a night-time boat trip was memorable for some more chances to see the aurora and also being the coldest experience we’ve yet had.
