Chichester Cathedral often displays sculpture pieces, sometimes as part of a one-off but also fairly regularly during the annual Chichester Festival, and in June of 2012 pieces from an exhibition titled Sculpture in Paradise were put on display on the lawn area between the cathedral itself and the cloisters. The sculptures were created by Philip Jackson and many were on public display for the first time. My particular favourite of the art pieces was the one with the corset as the contrast with the sculptural medium was strongest there and I liked the simplistic colour and style range – raw, black, and gold – in use throughout the exhibition’s works.
