This photo was originally taken during the walking tour part of our Stockholm excursion in the old town part of the Swedish capital city, Gamla Stan. This is an area renowned for its tall, colourful buildings and narrow alleys and the photograph was taken in the oldest of the squares, Storturget.

There wasn’t a huge amount done for this processing as I just wanted to bring a little more impact to the picture. It’s been cropped slightly differently, a little straighter than originally, and in a way that just about preserves the top of the tallest building and the foot of the person walking through the frame. Highlights have been reduced as much as possible to pull in detail from the clouds and remove the blown areas, and an HDR pop emphasising vibrancy and enhancing the windows of the square’s buildings has been added.

I still really like the man in the cream-coloured suit to the left of this image; his expression in particular, but also the way he holds his coat over his arm.
