This photograph was originally taken in 2016 and it shows the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. The picture, you won’t be surprised to learn, was taken on a cruise; that being aboard the Royal Princess in the Mediterranean. This was one of the first photos taken after waking on the morning of arrival at the port city of Kotor where we would take an excellent excursion by boat to see a church on an island and a town along the coastline before having plenty of free time to explore Kotor, drink at a bar, and be mesmerised by the number of cats around.
Only very minor tweaking for this photo rework. This is a crop of the original photograph to take away some of the left side of the bay. More texture detail has been pulled out and the contrast range extended with additional saturation of blues to move the sky away from its weak white colour.
