From Park Güell we next headed directly for the easy-to-spot, unfinished, Antoni Gaudí-designed, Roman Catholic church of La Sagrada Família. It had been our intention to go in the building but as we closed on it and saw the queues of people waiting to enter we decided our time would be better spent simply making a circuit of the church, grabbing some photos, then heading off to grab some food and drink and taking in more of the sights of Barcelona.
Although she doesn’t take many photos my wife was persuaded to use the spare camera and lens I’d asked her to carry during our trip to Barcelona and took some decent pictures of La Sagrada Família too. I particularly like the one shot through the overhanging leaves, creating a great pattern on the photograph.
