One of the interesting-looking areas I’d spotted on a map of Ghent before we undertook our weekend trip to Belgium on board P&O’s cruise ship Azura was something referred to as “Graffiti Street” which some investigation had shown was an alleyway in the medieval town given over to the local street artists to do as they wanted. It wasn’t difficult to find.
In addition to traditional wall-daubed graffiti and street art there was also a sculpture that could be used as an artistic canvas.
In truth the graffiti was not of a fantastically high quality but we appreciated that a place like Ghent had it.
