We didn’t have a lot of choice in terms of cabin location when we booked a cruise on Royal Princess in 2016 as we made that booking with only a few months to sail, taking advantage of a good deal and an itinerary that would allow us to visit some new countries in Europe. The place we’d been looking forward to most of all had been Ephesus, Turkey but this was cancelled amidst unrest at the time and replaced with Kotor, Montenegro, and that turned out to be a gorgeous replacement.
