Spending a few days in Weston-Super-Mare in the summer of 2013 we took advantage of the proximity of Bath to pay it a visit for a few hours. Architecturally, it was a very appealing place to look at, although possibly a little stuffy-feeling, but we did our tourist duty and visited the Royal Crescent.

We happened to visit on one of the days when graduation was taking place which made for some nice people-watching.

The main draw of Bath, though, was its Roman Baths, built on what was an ancient shrine to the Goddess Sulis (hence Bath’s roman name of Aquæ Sulis).
