P&O Cruises are a British cruise line on which you can expect almost exclusively British couples and families. Entertainment and features are geared towards what British people expect – yes, there will be a pub – and don’t be surprised to see far too many Union Jacks decorating available spaces. That said, while the cruise line has in the past been a middle-of-the-road British affair, in more recent years it has started to improve in areas of quality and service to bring it closer in line with its sister brand, Princess Cruises. Consider P&O to be the slightly-less-well-off relation to the comfortable American across the sea, but getting better.
What makes P&O very appealing to us as a cruise line is the number of trips that go out of nearby Southampton and the number of short breaks to Europe that work well with our annual holiday allowance. Drinks on P&O ships tend to be of a good range and quality too, but that’s just sensible and knowing what your audience demands.
