The posts categorised as blogs on this site will tend to be round-ups of what else has been published because travel-writing is kept separate. If you want to keep up-to-date with all the new and rewritten visits near and far that we've done then subscribing to the RSS feed or just frequenting the home page of this site is one way to do it but the blog posts here, posted less often, will typically summarise those posts. These summarised blog posts are also sent out as newsletters when written and you can find places to subscribe to them around the site.

If James Bond Didn’t Like Formal Nights On Cruises

The cruise ship formal night debate: as old as it is irritating. Our attitude is very simply that if you don’t like it then don’t do it, but this means go elsewhere on the ship while it’s taking place. There are those who think that just because they’ve paid to come on a trip they should have the right to wear what they want where and when they want with no consideration as to what other people might be looking to experience for the evening. I suspect this attitude doesn’t extend to weddings they’re invited to. I suspect this attitude doesn’t extend to funerals. Why? What Annoys Me About Cruise Forums

There are many things that annoy me about cruise forums and I’m only going to say cruise forums here rather than all forums simply because I don’t tend to hang around any other sorts of forums these days. In this post I’m going to go through the three ones that bug me the most: the inability of people to be able to search, people being nasty for the sake of being nasty, and people who haven’t bothered to read what they’re replying to.

The Cruise Show: Cruising Against Hatred

This weekend there’s a big cruise show event taking place in London. This blog post serves as a personal list of the companies in attendance as a means for me to identify businesses I don’t want to deal with as the event’s connection with the Daily Mail is something I find revolting due to my views of tolerance being at loggerheads with that bile-spewing source of shit’s continuous hatred of foreigners.
