Travel portfolio content covering our 3-night May cruise aboard Celebrity Silhouette to Amsterdam and back is now complete. This post provides links and brief summaries of the posts and is primarily published for the benefit of WordPress readers who have subscribed to the site or who are using the Reader to search for content as only blog entries are syndicated to the platform.

Embarkation, the perks associated with Celebrity’s Concierge Class, issues with getting drinks, disappointment with the food quality, and everything else we got up to on our first day aboard is covered in Concierge Class Cruise On Celebrity Silhouette.

The morning of the second day saw us pass through the sea lock at IJmuiden then proceed down the North Sea Canal towards Amsterdam. Sights seen along the way are shown and our arrival in the Dutch capital where a Holland America Line ship was ahead of us can be read in Cruising To Amsterdam On Celebrity Silhouette.

The horrifyingly clickbaity title of Sex And Violence And Beer In Amsterdam recounts the afternoon portion of the second day of the short cruise. Here, we went looking for museums and a few places to drink. Please note that there is some imagery in this post that may be considered adult, although if you’d not guessed that from the title then you’re probably beyond the capacity to be warned.

The Amsterdam Liberation Day Music Festival was taking place during our stay and that’s where we headed in the evening, although the weather played a big part in cutting short our enjoyment of event.

Our final day on the ship as it made its way back to England is spread across three posts. In the first of those, Cruise Ship Exploration: Celebrity Silhouette, I take a wander around the ship after breakfast on the lookout for things I hadn’t photographed on the first day.

The penultimate post is the reverse of the approach to Amsterdam covered earlier and takes us from the capital city along the North Sea Canal and back through the locks at IJmuiden. With a different ship docked – a Viking vessel – and a different direction of travel, the views were not simply the same ones in a different order. That can be found in Celebrity Silhouette Departing The Netherlands.

The final portfolio post is the most upbeat of all the cruise posts as it follows the transformation aboard the ship from a disppointing one to one with a lot of promise on the last evening. Alcohol plays a big part but there is also a very good meal at the speciality dining venue, Murano, to thank for this. Read that in Shopping, Dining In Murano, And Late Night Entertainment On Celebrity Silhouette.

There is one other post, a summary blog entry written soon after the trip when a sense of irritation was high, which has a briefer overview of the taster cruise as a whole: Celebrity Silhouette: Disappointments And Redemption.
